I’m going to talk about why you need to be on the look out for carrot chasers in your business.
Whether you’re in direct sales, or even a brick and mortar business you always want to keep an eye out for those pesky rabbits.
You may be asking yourself who’s a carrot chaser?
Great question! They are those employees, team members, hostess’, etc who when given an opportunity to earn an incentive (cash bonus, free trip, free product, etc) jump on it, and earn as many as they can!
Why are these the people you need to be looking for?
Because these are your future leaders, these are the men and women who are going to give it their all to earn that extra cash bonus, free trip, or new car. Carrot chasers are exactly who you want on your team to ensure you are moving forward.
Now, I’m not saying that everyone on your team needs to be a carrot chaser, non carrot chasers are great as well. Maybe they’re allergic to carrots… maybe they don’t like free things… or maybe their reason for being with your company is simply for the paycheck, discount, etc. Not everyone will have the same vision as others, and that is totally fine!
